C2FO is an innovative fintech company that invented on-demand working capital as a way to unlock significant sums of money that are owed to companies and tied up in lengthy payment cycles.

The Challenge

As a fast-growing company that was expanding rapidly into new markets, C2FO needed help to hire autonomous, self-starting individuals who were capable of working independently and thriving in their respective fields. 

The four month time frame we were given involved multiple first in country hires across Europe plus a newly created Sales Operations management role in London. The successful candidates all needed to be available to start onboarding at the end of the search period to participate in the global kick-off.

The Approach

Our partnership with C2FO started with an appointment in Hong Kong and since then it’s grown to senior appointments all around the globe. Each candidate we found for them was the first hire in a completely new market - therefore it was essential to find people with an entrepreneurial, go-getting skillset who could build and lead a successful team underneath them.

As tech businesses scale at pace, they go through different phases of cultural development. It was essential that any new hires helped C2FO to evolve with the right people, which in turn would futureproof their business.

The existing leadership team had been working together successfully for many years and as part of our executive search process, we completed personal profiling to highlight each individual’s strengths and weaknesses. These were instrumental in helping us to identify which potential new hires would be the right fit in terms of culture, values and skillset.

The last executive search we undertook for them was to find a series of hires within just four months. This included Managing Director of Business Development roles in Italy, Switzerland, Benelux and the Nordics, an EMEA Sales Operations Manager EMEA and a Business Development Director in Australia.

As part of our EMEA market mapping and because of our deep understanding of C2FO’s business, we introduced a Prague-based candidate to C2FO and he was offered a newly created role as Director of Working Capital Solutions EMEA.
